Do your hens really get to roam around freely where ever they want?YES! They sure do. They can come down from their perch in the morning and come straight out into the sun. They can scratch around the ground or lay in their dust baths. They can have breakfast which is ready to go. Our girls can wander up to our other pets and join the dogs and horse basking in the sun, or even jump on the kids trampoilne if they wanted. Each morning they walk up to our back porch to say good morning. Our property is fenced safely for our girls, making sure everyone else is kept out and our pets are safe inside our sanctuary.

How much time do your chickens get outdoors? As much time as they choose. 24/7 if they please, although they do choose to go into their safe homemade hen house at night to perch with their mates (and we do encourage this for their safety too). Once the sun is up and our girls feel like coming down off their perch, they can have as much time outdoors as they please. Once the sun goes down, they wander back into the safety of their henhouse for a good nights sleep. They are truly free range!

When you buy your pack of Eggs 11, the 12th egg goes into a carton and when it reaches a true dozen, we will be providiing our delicious eggs for free to the community and neighbourhood centres who provide meals for those in need around the coast.

What happens to your hens once they stop laying eggs?Nothing changes for them. They continue to live a happy and healthy life on our farm. They have worked hard and given us many eggs since they joined our farmstead. We truly appreciate that so we want them to be able to retire in style!
